Fallout 4 Metal Left Arm

I renamed the arm meshes to include an M (for male) for consistency with the other meshes and to make it easier to release female versions of the meshes. Reduced the total number of material (BGSM) files. Instead of individual 'ON' files, all leather will use mlaLeatherOn and all metal will use mlaMetalOn. Champion (metal) left arm with dense and polished mods for explosives +1 STR and +1 END Overseer's right arm guard (combat) BoS paint and armor piersing with unarmed mods. Take less damage while standing still and not moving Freefall right and left legs (combat) BoS paint and less AP while running and make me take no fall damage.

In Fallout 76, players will find a variety of Armor.and Outfits in their adventures.

Unlike Fallout 4 and previous Fallout games, most outfits that visually go over or under armor pieces will not have any stats attached to them, including helmets or hats. The only exception to this are Gas Masks and Power Armor Helmets.

See the armor below to learn more information about them.

Fallout 4 Metal Left Arm Replacement

  • Version 4.2

    • Added spikes as another hardware option
    • Fixed the world model for studs
    • Fixed a transparency issue with the Male underwear
  • Version 4.1.2

    • Fixed a bug that caused all the component to display all the time
  • Version 4.1.1

    • Restored the original boots and made the newer version (that can be combined with custom bodies and other outfits) into a new outfit.
Note that some of the body slide outfits have had their name changed. If you uninstall those optional mods before installing the new, it should clean-up the old ones.
  • Version 4.1

    • For everyone:
      1) extended the options available on the armor version of the codpiece to its under armor version (front, back, studs);
      2) per user request, the boots won't replace the body so you can now wear them with other outfits (but usually the shoes from the other outfit clip through);
      3) for sorting mod users, fixed a naming rule issue on the left arm.
      For females:
      1) improved fit of heavy should guard
      2) fixed studs not appearing on the left shoulder fin.
  • Version 4.0

    • Studs (bolts) can now be applied to the armor. New mods have been added allowing you to choose the armor pieces to which studs will be applied. Nothing will appear until you equip the studs, which are a separate outfit. You can create the studs outfit at the Armorsmith Workbench. You'll find the recipe under Leather Armor. The studs will only display while they're equipped. I'll release 'spikes' as an alternative outfit in a future release.
Fixed a transparency issue with the male under armor outfits
  • Version 3.2

    • Added a holotape that allows you to control whether MLA armor will spawn on NPCs (like raiders) or appear as loot in chests.
  • Version 3.1

    • As a result of a request, moved the body armor to its own slot so that it can used without a chest piece.
Added some missing CBBE bodyslide files
For the front half of the female codpiece, reduced the amount of mesh that was visible in the back, between her legs.
Restored support for VIS (though the MLA naming scheme needs some serious work in the future)
Made the SHB body slide files a part of the 'Super Hero Bodies' group instead of it being in a group of its own.
  • Version 3.0

    • Added support for female characters. Please note that the female under armor outfits are based on EVB (so that I could upload to Bethesda.net for Xbox users). CBBE users will need to download an optional patch file or the textures will be wrong.
  • Version 2.3

    • In 2.1 I accidentally posted an ESM file. With this version I replaced the ESM with an ESP. I plan on publishing an ESM eventually (in case anyone wants to extend this mod with new palettes or the like) but I don't consider the overall Mod to be stable enough yet to publish an ESM. If you used the 2.1 version you'll probably get a warning saying the ESM is missing. Ignore it. After you save again and reload you shouldn't get that warning again.
Improved the fit of the shoulder fins when not wearing heavy shoulder guards. This required changing the bone weights which caused the guard and fins to become visible in 1st person when sneaking with a gun drawn. I introduced 1st person models of the arms to eliminate that problem.
  • Version 2.2

    • Reduced the texture files to standard size. The difference in quality if negligible and the savings in video RAM is huge. I'll post the 4K textures as an optional download.
The under armor boots are from Kellogg's under armor. Changed the specular and normal maps to reuse the originals (to save space).
  • Version 2.1

    • Fixed clipping of the forearm guard with the pip boy
Areas of the diffuse map were transparent that shouldn't be
Reduced the number of material (BGSM) files
Added the 'M' (male) designation to the Arm meshes (in preparation for the female version)
  • Version 2.0

    • Introduced color palettes for changing the color of the armor, stitches, metal and the level of wear.
Replaced the specular map (which was lacquered) with the standard one.
The under armor will also use the palette.
Added an optional file for disabling the palette.
Added a forum topic to explain how the palette works for anyone interested in changing up the colors. If you do and like how it turned out, I'd love to hear from you.
  • Version 1.3

    • Minor enhancement to place a copy of the MLA armor into the Sanctuary Hills Workshop so that players starting a new game can easily acquire it. [The copy that's automatically added to your inventory is lost if you start the game from the very beginning.]
  • Version 1.2

    • Fixed the bone weights on the torso pieces to resolve an issue with the belt clipping at the waist when going shirtless.
    • Fixed the bone weights on the lite shoulder piece that was causing the mesh to occlude part of the screen when crouched in 1st person with a weapon drawn.
    • If you are an SHB user, make sure to download the latest refit file (1.1) and rebuild the MLA group against your preferred preset.
  • Version 1.1

    • Added optional texture replacers for those who prefer the look of the original armor over the MLA default look. When installing a replacer, allow it to overwrite the original files. If you activate more than one replacer, the last one 'wins'.
    • Removed unnecessary level restrictions from the instance template of the MLA Torso Armor. This was interfering with the crafting of the different tiers of this armor.
    • Added missing ground object meshes
    • Associated the ground objects to the crafting tokens created at the Armorsmith workbench, to resolve the stuck menu issue.
